Our Story

Cleanup Surat is a citizen-led cleanliness and environmental awareness initiative started on 14th September 2025 in Surat, Gujarat. With the vision of “Our City, Our Responsibility,” the team organizes weekly cleanup drives and awareness campaigns to create a cleaner and greener city. Today, Cleanup Surat has grown into a strong movement with 80+ active volunteers and has removed *50+ metric tons of waste* from different riverbank areas across Surat. The initiative also works with schools, students, youth, and local communities to spread awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, waste management, and environmental responsibility. In recognition of its continuous efforts and social impact, Cleanup Surat has been honored as the Brand Ambassador of Surat for the Swachh Bharat Mission.
